Jim Crow Juries — PJI

Promise of Justice Initiative (PJI) fights for the dignity, freedom, and autonomy of those targeted and touched by the criminal legal system and calls for an end to mass incarceration. They requested this video to explain the concept of Jim Crow Juries, both the history and the ramifications those racist laws still have in present-day Louisiana.

PJI wanted to emphasize how these laws currently affect real people, so I used hand-drawn illustrations & collage to combine the personal and historic aspects.
