together. Tomorrow tweeted undoubtedly unfolding US vast war

In October 2023, the president of VCU sent an email to all faculty, staff and students about the war in Palestine. In between the lines, the email told us that the institution, a public university in Virginia, was already politically aligned in a war happening 6,000 miles away.

For this project, I collected all the emails I had received, from administration and faculty, about the war in Palestine during my first year in graduate school. I organized that language as a data set, breaking it apart piece by piece, word by word. I examined the power of these words and then tried to make a different sense of them — a different order — and printed them alphabetically.

I found new meaning, arguably truer than anything originally said. The piece is named after one of those strings: together. Tomorrow tweeted undoubtedly unfolding US vast war.
